Patna: Akarsh Anand, Prakash Bhardwaj, Prakash Bhardwaj and Rachit Jha were leading the table with four points in the men’s category at the end of fourth round’s play on the second day of the 5th Balkeshwar Prasad Memorial Bihar Open Chess Tournament organized by the MVP Chess Club, Patna on Sunday.
In the women’s section, Minky Sinha, Pammi Rani and Priya Rani were leading the table.
Today’s results: Prakash Bhardwaj defeated Aman Kumar Srivastava, Akarsh Anand defeated Nilay Dayal, Rachit Jha defeated Surya Prakash, Ankit Ambikesh defeated Akshar Anand, Yash Ram Maurya defeated Rachit Kumar.
Women’s category: Minky Sinha defeated Jigyasa Sharma, Pammi Rani defeated Rajni Kumari, Priya Rani defeated Preeti Vaibhav, Khushboo Kumari defeated Manish Trivedi, Aastha Rathore defeated Neepu Kumari. The match on the third day will start at 9:30 am and the prize distribution ceremony will be held at 2 pm.
