Patna: The colourful jerseys for the players participating in the Casa Picolla School Cricket League Under-15 Season 5 were unveiled on Sunday in a grand ceremony held at the Casa Picolla Restaurant in the capital. The league, set to take place at Krishna Cricket Ground (Khemnichak) from March 28, is being organised under the auspices of Turning Point.
The jerseys for the teams were unveiled by a host of distinguished guests, including Bihar Players Association President Mrityunjay Tiwari, Rashtriya Lok Janshakti Party National Spokesperson Shravan Kumar Agarwal, Turning Point Director Vijay Sharma, Casa Picolla’s Rajesh Sharma, Satyamev Group’s Ashish Kumar, Rise Coaching IIT’s Dhananjay Narayan Singh, Open Mind A Birla School’s Roshan Kumar, Convener Sumit Sharma, Organising Secretary Naveen Kumar, Spectra Flyash Industries Pvt Ltd’s Managing Director Viru Singh, Union Bank of India’s Arvind Pathik, and several others. Representatives from various institutions, including GNIOT Greater Noida, RIT Roorkee, Quantum University, Oxford Business College, Manav Rachna University, Baddi University, Sanskriti University and VGU, were also present to mark the occasion.
League Convener Sumit Sharma announced that the matches will be overseen by the technical officials of the Sardar Patel Sports Foundation. All matches will be played with a white ball, specially manufactured for this league. He confirmed that all preparations are complete and revealed that the player lists for four teams have already been released, with the remaining lists to be announced in the coming days.
Organising Secretary Naveen Kumar shared that 12 teams will compete in the league: GNIOT Blasters, RIT Champions, Quantum Warriors, Oxford Super Kings, Behaviour Nightriders, JIS Jaabanj, Aditya Dabang, Manav Rachna Lions, Baddi Fighters, Ajinkya DY Patil Bombers, VGU Thunderbolt, and Sanskriti Changers.
