Patna: Under the aegis of the Bihar Ball Badminton Association and Madhubani District Ball Badminton Association, the 29th Bihar State Junior Ball Badminton Championship (boys and girls) will be held at the Maharaj Laxmeshwar Singh Mahavidyalaya, Sarisabpahi, Pandaul (Madhubani) from March 4 to 6.
Teams from districts and institutions affiliated with the Bihar Ball Badminton Association will participate. Participating players should be born on or after 02-01-2003. Giving this information, Bihar Ball Badminton Association Secretary Gouri Shankar said that preparations have been started under the supervision of district secretary Santosh Kumar Sharma for the successful organisation of the championship.
He said that this competition is being organised by a social worker and the youth’s inspiration, Santosh Jha “Belahi.” Rambahadur Chowdhary and Prof. (Dr.) Sanjeev Kumar Jha have been nominated as the chairman and convener of the tournament, respectively.
Gouri Shankar said that on the basis of the performance of the players in this tournament, a Bihar junior ball badminton team will be selected, which will take part in the National Junior Ball Badminton Championship to be held in Karnataka in the last week of March.
