Sonepur, May 3: In the final league match of Pool E in the BCA Senior Men’s Cricket Tournament, Madhubani emerged victorious over Samastipur by 26 runs.

Darbhanga’s team clinched the top spot in this pool with 20 points, followed by Khagaria in second place with 15 points, while Madhubani secured the third position with 10 points. Samastipur held onto the fourth spot with 5 points, with Saharsa trailing at the bottom without any points.

At the local railway stadium, Madhubani won the toss and elected to bat first, posting a total of 255 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 50 overs. Saroj Kumar Yadav contributed 47 runs, while Ayush Anand remained unbeaten with 66 runs and Utkarsh Bhaskar scored 59 runs. The extras accounted for 40 runs.
