Katihar: Liberty Cricket Club defeated Durgasthan Cricket Club by 24 runs in the match played on Sunday in the Katihar District A Division Cricket League being hosted by Katihar District Cricket Association at Rajendra Stadium in the city.
Liberty Cricket Club team won the toss and batted first and scored 205 runs losing 10 wickets in 35 overs. Nihal Yadav scored 96 runs and Saeed Anwar scored 26 runs. For Durgasthan Cricket Club, Chandan Thakur took 3 wickets and Akash, Kunal took two wickets each.
Chasing the target of 206 runs, the Durgasthan Cricket Club team was all out after scoring 182 runs in 32 overs. Reet Aryan scored 41 runs and Vikas Kumar Gupta scored 30 runs. Umesh Kumar took 5 wickets and Aditya Kumar took 2 wickets. Liberty Cricket Club earned 2 points.
