Bhabhua: Kaimur defeated Buxar by 7 wickets in the third match of Randhir Verma Under-19 Cricket Tournament organized by Bihar Cricket Association in Shahabad Zone.
In the morning Kaimur won the toss and decided to bowl first. After losing the toss and batting first, Buxar team scored a respectable score of 200 runs after losing all the wickets in 49.4 overs in the stipulated 50 overs match. For Buxar, Amitosh Thakur scored 45 runs in 65 balls, Sumit Kumar scored 31 runs in 52 balls, Prakash Kumar scored 30 runs in 60 balls, Rajpratap scored 29 runs in 35 balls and Pankaj Awasthi scored 18 runs.
For Kaimur, Anuj Raj took 4 wickets for 34 runs, Asif Ahmed took 4 wickets for 55 runs and Devansh took 1 wicket.
While chasing 200 runs, Kaimur team achieved the target by scoring 201 runs after losing 3 wickets in 39.4 overs.
Both the opening batsmen of Kaimur batted brilliantly and made a solid partnership of 76 runs in which Devansh scored 41 runs in 58 balls and Utsav Anand scored 41 runs in 39 balls. After both of them were out, captain Anubhav Singh scored an unbeaten 71 runs in 84 balls and Harshraj scored 26 runs in 84 balls.
The Player of the Match award was given to Kaimur’s Anuj Raj Singh.
