Kaimur beat Aurangabad by 5 wickets

Bhabhua: Kaimur defeated Aurangabad by 5 wickets in the match played under Pool C of BCA Senior Men’s Cricket Tournament hosted by Kaimur District Cricket Association under the banner of Bihar Cricket Association.

In the match played at the local Jagjivan Stadium in the morning, Kaimur won the toss and invited Aurangabad to bat first. Batting first, Aurangabad team made a huge score of 279 runs after losing all the wickets in the stipulated 50 overs. For Aurangabad, Karan Raj scored a brilliant half-century of 80 runs in 102 balls, Ayush Raj batted quicky and scored a half-century of 55 runs in 49 balls, apart from this, Harsh Raj Puru scored 46 runs in 51 balls, Ranjit Kumar scored 46 runs in 21 balls. Mohd. Akbar scored 25 runs in 28 balls and Aamir scored 12 runs and Ankush scored 11 runs.

For Kaimur, Dhanesh Chauhan took 3 wickets for 48 runs, Captain Vikas Patel took 3 wickets for 50 runs, Gaurav Singh took 2 wickets for 66 runs and Danish Khan took 1 wicket for 26 runs.

Chasing 280 runs, Kaimur team achieved the target of 280 runs in 44.5 overs. Gupil Rai played a brilliant century and scored unbeaten 100 runs in 104 balls, while Shashank Upadhyay scored 51 runs in 44 balls while scoring a half-century. Apart from these two, Satyam Yadav scored 36 runs in 44 balls, Anubhav Singh scored 29 runs in 24 balls. Abhishek Singh scored 22 runs in 24 balls, Rahul Chaubey scored 21 runs in 22 balls and Sanjeet Kumar scored unbeaten 12 runs in 7 balls.

For Aurangabad, Karan Raj took 1 wicket for 60 runs, Prabhat Singh took 1 wicket for 49 runs and Chandan Pandey took 1 wicket for 52 runs.

The player of the match trophy was presented to Gupil Rai (100 not out) by association treasurer Kamlakar Tiwari ‘Murali’.
