Muzaffarpur record second consecutive victory

Muzaffarpur, April 25:  In the Zone B match of the BCA Senior Men’s Cricket Tournament organized by the Bihar Cricket Association, Muzaffarpur defeated Sitamarhi by a commanding margin of 212 runs, securing full points.

Played at the NICA Kaparpura ground on Thursday, Muzaffarpur won the toss and posted a formidable total of 376 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in the allotted 50 overs. Shivam and Aditya Kumar displayed stellar batting performances, each completing a century.

The partnership between Shivam and Aditya yielded 270 runs. Shivam’s innings of 152 runs was exceptional, accompanied by Aditya’s impressive 123 runs. Shivam struck 17 boundaries and 5 towering sixes, while Aditya hit 14 fours and 2 sixes. Additionally, contributions from Chiranjeevi (20 runs), Ankit (20 runs), and Atul Priyankar (24 not out) bolstered Muzaffarpur’s innings.

In the bowling department, Rohit claimed 3 wickets and Madhav took 2 wickets for Sitamarhi.

In response, Sitamarhi were dismissed for 164 runs in 43 overs. Kunal top-scored with 43 runs, supported by Priyanshu (27 runs) and Prafulla (29 runs).

Naman Parashar starred for Muzaffarpur with the ball, claiming five crucial wickets. Devashish took two wickets, while Mohit, Vishal, and Ravi each contributed with a wicket.

The Man of the Match award was jointly presented to Shivam and Aditya by the vice presidents of the Muzaffarpur District Cricket Association, Nishant Neeraj, and Sanjay Kumar Verma.
