Patna: Jamui beat Lakhisarai by 88 runs in Randhir Verma U-19 match at Sandy’s Compound in Bhagalpur on Tuesday. Begusarai beat Saharsa by 164 runs at Samastipur Railway Ground. Batting first, Jamui scored 290 runs in 50 overs, while Lakhisarai were all out for 202 runs in 38.5 overs. In Samastipur, Begusarai scored 275 runs losing all wickets, while Saharsa were all out for 111 in 34 overs.
For Jamui, Sachin contributed 35 runs, Ayush made 67 runs and Raj Verma scored a century (100 not out). For Lakhisarai, B Raj took 3 wickets, Riyan took 2 wickets and Aman and Bipro Das took one wicket each.
In reply, Lakhisarai were all for 202 runs. For Lakhisarai, Babul scored 52 runs, Abhi hit 15 runs, Ankit made 11 runs, Prince scored 35 runs and Reyan scored 45 runs. Badal and Alokik took four wickets each. Rishikesh took 2 wickets for Jamui.
Saharsa won the toss and decided to field. Begusarai scored 275 runs losing all the wickets. For Begusarai, Ashutosh Kumar scored 44 runs, Shivam Kumar scored 20 runs, Prithviraj scored 109 runs and Pallav scored 20 runs. For Saharsa, Himanshu took 4 wickets, Fayaz took 2 wickets.
In reply Saharsa scored 111 runs in 34 overs losing all their wickets. MD Sahil scored 46 runs and Faizan Ansari scored 13 runs for Saharsa. Rahul Kumar, Ram and Sarvjit Yadav took two wickets each for Begusarai. Prithviraj of Begusarai was named man of the match.
