Patna: In the BCA U-19 Super League match held at Sadisopur ground, Gopalganj were bowled out for 213 runs in their two-day encounter against Rest of Pataliputra Zone, thanks to a stellar performance by Happy Kumar, who claimed 5 wickets.
Gopalganj opted to bat first after winning the toss. Key contributions came from Aarav Ashish (37 runs), Vishal (42 runs), Shubham (47 runs), Praveen Kumar (36 runs), Divya Prakash (17 runs), and Sujay Sharma (15 runs). However, Happy Kumar’s impressive 5-wicket haul for Rest of Pataliputra Zone turned the tide. Supporting bowlers Satyam and Abhinav took two wickets each, while Ayush chipped in with one.
In their reply, Rest of Pataliputra Zone reached 121 runs for the loss of two wickets by the end of the first day’s play. Raunit Giri was dismissed for 9 runs and Harsh Rajpur for 16 runs. Opener Shrimukh retired hurt after scoring just 1 run off 8 balls. At stumps, Dipesh Kumar Gupta was not out on 28 runs and Agastya remained unbeaten on 62 runs. Sujay and Mehndi each took a wicket for Gopalganj.
