Patna: Gujarat beat Bihar by 10 wickets in Senior Women’s T20 Cricket Tournament organised by BCCI at Assam Cricket Association ground in Guwahati on Friday. With this defeat, Bihar Senior’s women’s campaign in this tournament ends.
Batting first, Bihar scored 66 runs for 8 wickets in stipulated 20 overs. Chasing the target, Gujarat achieved the target of 67 runs without losing any wicket. Bihar, playing in Group B played a total of seven matches out of which they won one, lost five, and one match was cancelled due to rain.
Bihar won the toss and decided to bat first. Pragati Singh, the only batter from Bihar, scored 36 runs in 43 balls with the help of five fours. For Bihar, Nikki Kumari 4, captain Apoorva Kumari 1, Preeti 1, Jyoti D Kumari 0, Komal P Kumari 7, Apoorva 6, Preeti Priya 5, Rachna Singh 2, Nivedita scored 2 runs.
For Gujarat, Krutikaven took 3 for 9 and Maitri Patel took two wickets for 6 runs. In reply, Gujarat scored 69 runs in 12.4 overs without losing any wicket. Hani Patel scored an unbeaten 25, Simran scored an unbeaten 40.
