Bihar Sharif, April 26, 2024: The match between Arwal and Gaya in Zone D of the BCA Senior Men’s Cricket Tournament turned into a high-scoring affair.
Arwal’s Ankush Raj led the charge with an exceptional century, scoring 176 runs off just 70 balls, including 22 fours and 11 sixes. Deepesh Kumar Gupta also contributed significantly with 62 runs off 69 balls, featuring 5 fours and 1 six. Arwal posted a formidable total of 389 runs for the loss of 9 wickets.
In response, Gaya’s batsmen put up an impressive display. Ranjan Raj played a superb unbeaten inning, scoring 108 runs. Mangal Mehrour contributed 55 runs, while Gautam Kumar added 96 runs and Narendra Prasad remained unbeaten with 54 runs. Syed Mohammad Saifullah chipped in with 48 runs. Gaya chased down the target, scoring 390 runs for the loss of 3 wickets in just 32.3 overs.
This victory marked Gaya’s third win in four matches, while Arwal continued to wait for their first win. Ranjan Raj of Gaya was awarded the Man of the Match for his outstanding performance.
