Patna: Gandhi Maidan FC and City Athletic Club earn full points by winning their respective matches in the Rekha Devi Memorial Patna District Junior Division Football League at Sanjay Gandhi Stadium on Saturday.
Gandhi Maidan FC defeated XI Brothers 7-0 while City Athletic Club defeated Flying Birds FC 4-0.
In the first match was played between Gandhi Maidan FC vs XI Brothers, Sumit Kumar scored five goals. Sumit Kumar scored in the 1st, 7th, 44th, 69th, 72nd minutes of the game. Apart from this, Vikas Kumar scored in the 14th minute and Satyam Kumar in the 22nd minute. Sumit Kumar of the winning team was awarded the player of the match award by referee YN Pandit.
The main referee in this match was Shubham Sharma, assistant referee Vinod Prasad, Sunil Kumar while the fourth referee was Mithilesh Kumar.
In the second match, City Athletic Club defeated Flying Birds FC 4-0. For City Athletic Club, Raj Rai Chand scored in the 18th and 24th minutes while Ayush Raj scored in the 49th and 65th minutes of the game. Gautam Kumar of City Athletic Club and Md Sartaj Alam of Flying Birds were shown yellow cards. Afzal Alam gave the player of the match award to Raj Rai Chand of the winning team.
