Patna: Gardanibagh Athletic Club (GAC) continued its winning streak and registered its fifth consecutive win in the Patna District Senior Division Cricket League. GAC team, playing in Pool A, defeated Sharma Sporting Club by 6 wickets with the help of Abhishek Kumar’s brilliant unbeaten 102 runs in the match played on Saturday.
In the match played at Sampatchak Ground, Sharma Sporting won the toss and decided to bat first. Batting first, Sharma Sporting scored 205 runs losing seven wickets in 35 overs on the basis of excellent batting by Rishi Kumar (68 runs) and Govind Kumar (44 runs not out).
In reply, GAC won the match by scoring 206 runs for four wickets in 26.2 overs with the help of Abhishek Kumar’s unbeaten 102 runs. Rishabh Raj scored 31 runs, Anmol Kumar Boney scored 35 runs. Rishabh Raj (31 runs and two wickets) of the winning team was given the Player of the Match award.
