Aurangabad beat Buxar in Randhir Verma Under-19 Cricket Tournament

Bhabhua: Aurangabad defeated Buxar by 104 runs in the fifth match of Randhir Verma Under-19 Cricket Tournament organized by Bihar Cricket Association in Shahabad Zone.

In this tournament being hosted by Kaimur District Cricket Association at the local Jagjivan Stadium, Aurangabad won the toss and decided to bat first. Batting first, Aurangabad scored a respectable score of 198 runs after losing all the wickets in the stipulated 50 overs match. For Aurangabad, Nitesh Siddheshwar scored 47 runs in 56 balls, Arjun Kumar scored 46 runs in 45 balls. Apart from this, Nitish scored 20 runs in 25 balls, Ankush scored 16 runs in 19 balls and Naveen scored 15 runs.

For Buxar, Sumit Kumar bowled brilliantly and took 5 wickets for 33 runs, Prakash took 2 wickets for 47 runs and Jitendra, Rahul and Jitesh took 1 wicket each.

Chasing 198 runs, Buxar scored 94 runs all out in 30.5 overs against the disciplined bowling of Aurangabad.Pankaj Awasthi and Amitosh Thakur scored 19 runs each. Apart from this, Akshay Mishra played an inning of 10 runs.

For Aurangabad, Prabhat Singh bowled brilliantly and took 5 wickets spending 24 runs, Ankush Agarwal and Nitesh Siddheshwar took 2 wickets each.

The Player of the Match award was given to Prabhat Singh of Aurangabad for his excellent bowling (5 wickets). The umpires were Ashutosh Kumar of Patna and Amarendra Pandey of Madhubani and the scorers were Saurav Kumar and Anshu Arya.
