Katihar: In the Katihar District A Division Cricket League being played at Rajendra Stadium in the city on Monday, Friends Cricket Academy defeated Rising Star Cricket Club by 6 wickets.
Rising Star Club captain Anupam Kashyap won the toss and batted first and scored 187 runs at the loss of 9 wickets in 35 overs. Aditya Raj scored 46 runs, Harsh Raj scored 39 runs and Sujit Kumar scored 32 runs.
Chasing the target of 188 runs, the Friends Cricket Academy team easily won the match by scoring 191 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in 28.4 overs and secured 2 points. Hazrat Ali scored unbeaten 73 runs, Kishan Kumar Choudhary scored 44 runs and Raja Babu scored 33 runs. Sagar Kumar took 2 wickets and Harsh Nanda took 1 wicket.
