Foundation day of Scouts and Guides celebrated in Patna

Patna: The foundation day of Bharat Scouts and Guides was celebrated on Monday with great enthusiasm at Christ Church School, Gandhi Maidan. Bharat Scouts and Guides was established on November 7, 1950, since then this voluntary, social and non-political organisation has accomplished many feats.  The founder of this organisation, Lord Robert Baden-Powell, started it as a Scout and Guide movement in 1890.

Sanjay Kumar, Deputy Director of Arts, Culture, and Youth Department of Government of Bihar who was the chief guest of the Foundation Day function organised by Bharat Scouts and Guides, said that if you want to do social service, then join scouts and guides. The organisation has played an important role in social work. This institution has an important contribution especially in making the students civilized citizens with moral, character.

Special guest Bharat Scouts and Guides, Patna Nagar Secretary Gouri Shankar said that the activities of Bharat Scouts and Guides would be expanded. Scouts and guide teams will be added to all government and non-government schools in Patna. The principal of Christ Church School, Kailash Chandra and academic head, Deepti Madhav, welcomed the guests by presenting bouquets and mementos.

On this occasion, District Organisation Commissioner (Scout) Suresh Kumar, Ram Bharos Pandit, Executive Member Ranjan Gupta, Scout Master Santosh Kumar, Guide Captain Kiran Kumari and all the teachers of the school were present. The foundation day ceremony began with a scout-guide prayer to the tune of the band. All the people involved in the foundation day were given badges.
