Patna, May 20: Former Union Minister and BJP candidate from the Patna Sahib parliamentary constituency, Ravi Shankar Prasad, participated in a sports dialogue programme with young athletes at the Sakha ground in Rajendra Nagar on Monday. Hundreds of players and sports enthusiasts engaged in conversations with the former minister during the event.
Kumhrar MLA Arun Kumar Sinha initiated the event by throwing the ball, while Ravi Shankar Prasad, batting at the other end, inaugurated the programme with a swing of the bat. In his address, Prasad emphasized that sportsmanship is a form of patriotism. He shared that he had been an avid table tennis player since childhood and had always been proactive in promoting sports during his university years.
Coach Santosh Kumar welcomed and honored former Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad and MLA Arun Kumar Sinha with bouquets. The programme was conducted and organized by Ashish Sinha, a former Ranji player and past president of the Patna University student union. Many national and state-level players were honored during the occasion.
