Farewell Ceremony of STD 12 students of St Karen’s High School held

Patna: The much-awaited Farewell Ceremony of STD 12 (Session 2023-24) was held in the premises of St. Karen’s High School. The event organized on February 2, 2024 was an amalgamation of emotion, intelligence and ambition. The venue transformed into a blue ocean as the girls were in azure blue sarees and the boys were in azure blue shirts and formal outfit. The students were warmly welcomed by the teachers who blessed them by applying tilak and ushered them in.

The event was formally inaugurated with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the Director of St. Karen’s Group of Schools, Mr. D.P. Galstaun, Secretary, Mrs Leslie Galstaun, Academic Supervisor, Mrs. Shefali Srivastava, Principal of the school, Mrs. Seema Singh and Vice Principal of the school Mr. Sanjay Joseph, followed by a prayer dance to invoke the blessings of the Almighty.

The Director, Mr. D. P. Galstaun motivated the students by telling them the importance of ambition and perseverance and how both of them put together can work wonders.The Academic Supervisor, Mrs. Shefali Srivastava addressed the students and requested them to dream big and fulfill them. The Principal of St. Karen’s High School blessed the students with her loving words telling them the importance of relationships and wishing them for their bright future ahead.

The Council Members of the outgoing batch handed over the sashes to their Director Sir which was quite touching. The speeches by the President of the school and other students from Science and Commerce streams were a tell-tale of their academic journey in their alma mater-a roller coaster ride of emotions and learning. The games were an apt way to lighten the erstwhile emotionally charged atmosphere in which the students participated and enjoyed thoroughly.

The performance by the succeeding batch was the most exciting part of the programme as the girls and boys set the stage on fire by their scintillating dance performances. The school band rocked the stage with their pulsating music. The class reports by the class teachers of Class 12 were a treat to listen to as they fondly shared the session-long journey of their students.

The Farewell speech by the succeeding batch left the students and teachers tearful. The outgoing batch expressed their gratitude to the institution and its members for their crucial and unforgettable roles in shaping their future. Regularity is the key to perfection in any art.

The students were also awarded for hig.hest marks, full attendance etc. The much-awaited part of the auspicious farewell ceremony was the distribution of the titles. The ramp walk for the selection of the best dressed students and the contest for Master and Miss Karenite stole the show.

The best dressed boy award went to Harsh Nandan and the best dressed girl was Ashtha Singh. The most coveted award of Miss and Mr. Karenite went to Ms. Aditi Singh and Master Satyam Tripathi respectively. Finally, the students parted after taking blessings of their teachers who wished them good luck for their upcoming future. The valedictory ceremony marked the beginning of a beautiful ending.
