Patna: ERCC defeated Amar CC by 11 runs in the Patna District Senior Division Cricket League on Monday. Ashish Mishra (69 runs) and Parth (52 runs) scored half centuries for ERCC while Aryaman Singh (58 runs) and Tapish Kumar (58 runs) scored half centuries for Amar CC.
In bowling, Siddhant and Abhishek took 3 wickets each for Amar CC while Abhinav Singh took 3 wickets and Rishabh Raj and Yash Pratap took two wickets each for ERCC.
At 22 Yard Cricket Academy ground, Amar CC won the toss and invited ERCC to bat. After a bad start, ERCC scored 227 runs for 9 wickets in the stipulated 40 overs thanks to the half centuries of Ashish Mishra and Parth and the sensible innings of Yash Pratap and Rishabh Raj.
Ashish Mishra scored 69 runs in 83 balls with the help of 7 fours and 2 sixes, Parth scored 52 runs in 61 balls with the help of 3 fours and 1 six, Yash Pratap scored 38 runs in 30 balls with the help of 1 four and 4 sixes and Rishabh Raj scored 25 runs in 24 balls with the help of 1 four and 2 sixes. 17 runs came as extras.
For Amar CC, Siddhant Sagar took 3 wickets for 29 runs, Aryaman Singh took 1 wicket for 43 runs, Aman Singh took 1 wicket for 42 runs, Abhishek Kumar took 3 wickets for 27 runs.
In reply, Amar CC recovered from the initial setback and made a good start and there was an important partnership of 87 runs between Aryaman and Tapish for the second wicket but as soon as this pair was broken, the other batsmen could not make a long partnership. Abhi tried his best to win but the others did not support him and by then the scheduled overs were over and Amar CC scored 216 runs for 9 wickets in the scheduled 40 overs.
For Amar CC, Aryaman Singh scored 58 with the help of 9 fours in 58 balls, Tapish Kumar scored 58 with the help of 4 fours in 78 balls, Ayush Kumar scored 11, Pawan Kumar scored 11, Abhi scored unbeaten 18 runs. Extras contributed 36 runs.
For ERCC, Abhinav Singh took 3 wickets for 32 runs, Priyanshu Singh took 1 wicket for 35 runs, Rishabh Raj took 2 wickets for 28 runs, Yash Pratap took 2 wickets for 43 runs. Yash Pratap of the winning team was given the Player of the Match award.
