ERCC and YMCC Advance to Semi-Finals in Shivnandan Paswan Memorial T20 Tournament

Patna: ERCC and YMCC have advanced to the semi-finals of the Shivnandan Paswan Memorial Invitation T20 Cricket Tournament after securing impressive victories in their respective matches. ERCC defeated PESU by a narrow margin of 5 runs, while YMCC dominated Adhikari XI with a commanding 9-wicket win.

The semi-finals, scheduled for Friday, February 28, will see Rajvanshi Nagar CC take on YMCC, while Rising Star CC will face ERCC in what promises to be an exciting clash.

ERCC vs PESU: A Thrilling Encounter

In the first match held at Moinul Haq Stadium, ERCC posted a competitive total of 151 runs for 7 wickets in their 20 overs, thanks to a solid 45-run knock by Harshvardhan. PESU’s Dheeraj was the standout bowler, claiming 3 wickets.

Chasing 152, PESU fell just short, managing 146 runs for 6 wickets in their 20 overs. Yashasvi Shukla (37) and Shashim Rathore (25) tried to anchor the innings, but ERCC’s bowlers, led by Vivek (3 wickets) and Sachin (2 wickets), held their nerve. Vivek Kumar was awarded Player of the Match for his match-winning bowling performance.

YMCC vs Adhikari XI: A One-Sided Affair

In the second match, Adhikari XI struggled after opting to bat first, getting bowled out for 96 runs in 19.2 overs. Anmol Boni top-scored with 23, but YMCC’s bowlers, Rishabh Rakesh and Gaurav Raj, wreaked havoc with 3 wickets each.

YMCC chased down the target effortlessly, scoring 98 runs for the loss of just 1 wicket in 10.5 overs. Aditya starred with an unbeaten 59, guiding his team to a comfortable victory. Gaurav Raj was named Player of the Match for his excellent bowling performance.
