Patna, October 23, 2024: In observance of Dyslexia Awareness Month, the Kilkari Bihar Bal Bhawan and Change Inc Foundation jointly hosted a round table conference, themed ‘Act4Dyslexia’, at the Kilkari Bal Bhawan here on Wednesday.
The event saw participation from over 15 organisations, including A.K. Creation, Dost Learning Foundation, Piramal, and PCI, alongside parents and children.
During the conference, Dr. Tapas Ranjan Roy, State Programme Manager of Change Inc, led discussions on identifying children with dyslexia and providing them with appropriate support.
Children from Kilkari also participated in a poster-making and slogan-writing competition focused on dyslexia, with commendable performers receiving awards from Kilkari Bal Bhawan.
All participating organisations expressed their commitment to fostering educational inclusivity for children with dyslexia within their respective domains.
Following the conference, a padyatra was organised from Kilkari Bal Bhawan to the main gate of the Bihar Education Project to raise awareness about dyslexia. This initiative saw the participation of representatives from over 150 volunteer organizations, parents, and children, with strong support from Kilkari staff and trainers. Notable attendees included Majint Singh, Syed Z Haque, Ramashankar Singh, Dr. Neeraj, Sai Swarup, and Saurabh Prakash.
