Dhanbad ready to host 8th Jharkhand Thang-Ta Championship

Dhanbad: The two-day 8th Jharkhand State Thang-Ta Championship, to be organised by the Jharkhand Thang-Ta Association, will start on Saturday (April 29) at Agrasen Bhavan, Hirapur.

Before the start of the meet, a workshop will be organised for martial arts players representing different districts of the state at 10 am, in which detailed information about the tournament rules of this indigenous game will be given. The championship will start at 2 pm with the sub-junior category event.

Teams led by senior martial arts instructors from different districts are participating in this two-day championship, including Shravan Sahu from Lohardaga, Uday Kumar from Hazaribagh, Sonamoti Kumari from Palamu, Sarib Khan from Garhwa, Vineet Kumar Yadav from Ranchi, Sanju from Bokaro. Kumar, Sankar Ram from Koderma, Uday Shankar Bharti from Dumka, Sunil Prasad’s team from East Singhbhum, as well as a team from Deoghar, and host Dhanbad.
