Patna: With the aim of speeding up the development of sports in Bihar, the delegation of sports associations of Bihar will soon meet the Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Prasad Yadav and will present a detailed programme for the development of sports in the state before him.
This decision was taken in the meeting of sports associations of Bihar on Sunday. The meeting of Sports Associations was held under the chairmanship of the President of Bihar Olympic Association cum former Minister of Bihar Government Abdul Bari Siddiqui at his residence.
It was discussed during the meeting that first of all we should prepare the data of the current status of sports resources in the state. Along with this, a complete account has been prepared of what things are lacking in the state for the development of sports and talks will be held with the Deputy Chief Minister along with the complete draft. During the meeting, President of Bihar Olympic Association, Abdul Bari Siddiqui spoke to Bihar Art, Culture and Youth Department Minister Jitendra Kumar Rai and informed about this in this regard.
Participation of Bihar in upcoming Goa National Games was discussed in the meeting and soon a delegation of sports association will hold talks with the Deputy Chief Secretary of the Sports Department in this regard. During the meeting, a five-member committee was formed. Ramashish Prasad Singh, secretary of the Bihar Volleyball Association has been named chairman of the committee. The convener will be Mushtaq Ahmed, general secretary of the Bihar Olympic Association. Bihar State Kabaddi Association Secretary Kumar Vijay Singh, Bihar Cycling Association Secretary Kaushal Kishore Singh and Patna High Court Advocate Ajay Kumar will be members. This five-member committee will soon submit its report to the Bihar Olympic Association after preparing drafts from sports resources.
General Secretary of Bihar Olympic Association Mohammad Mushtaque Ahmad, Bihar Volleyball Association Secretary Ramashish Prasad Singh, Bihar State Kabaddi Association Secretary Kumar Vijay Singh, Bihar Cycling Association Secretary Kaushal Kishore Singh, Bihar Athletics Association Secretary Liaquat Hussain, Bihar Football Association Secretary Syed Imtiaz Hussain, Bihar Handball Association President Pankaj Kumar Singh, Secretary Braj Kishore Sharma, Secretary Basketball Association of Bihar Sushil Kumar, Secretary Boxing Association of Bihar Rajeev Kumar Singh, Bihar Taekwondo Association Joint Secretary Samta Rahi and many other dignitaries including Mohammad Mukhtar of Lawn Ball were present.
