CRS inspects Hansdiha-Harlatand Stretch of Under Construction Line between Hansdiha and Mohanpur

Bhagalpur: It may not be long in completion of construction work of new broad gauge railway line between Hansdiha and Mohanpur in Jharkhand. The newly constructed 22.13 Kilometer line in Hansdiha and Harlatand stretch of planned new railway line between Hansdiha and Mohanpur was inspected yesterday by Suvomoy Mitra, Commissioner Railway Safety (CRS), Eastern Circle.

A favourable inspection report of CRS could pave way for operation of goods and passenger trains in the stretch. Early completion of construction work of railway line in remaining portion between Hansdiha and Mohanpur beyond Harlatand is targeted by railways.

The start of operation on this new electrified line would provide connectivity with Deoghar from here via Mandar Hill -Hansdiha route. At present Deoghar is connected from here through rail route via Banka and via Dumka. Start of services on railway line being constructed between Hansdiha and Mohanpur would provide additional connectivity with Deoghar from here.

The station premises, panel rooms, relay room, IPS room, emergency counters, signal system, disconnection/reconnection besides interlocking system of Hansdiha and Harlatand stations were inspected by CRS.

In course of motor trolley inspection CRS inspected bridges, railway track fittings, P-way assets and level crossing gates in Hansdiha-Harlatand stretch.  Speed trial was also conducted on new line in Hansdiha-Harlatand stretch as part of CRS inspection.

Premanand Sharma, divisional railway manager, Asansol division and V K Srivastava, chief administrative officer (construction), Eastern Railway beside other senior railway officials were present during CRS inspection.
