Bihar girls’ team claims bronze medal in Junior National Ball Badminton

Patna: At the 67th Junior National Ball Badminton Championship, which was held on Monday in Murtijapur, Maharashtra, the girls’ team from Bihar came in third and won a bronze medal.Giving this information, Bihar Ball Badminton Association Secretary Gouri Shankar said that Karnataka defeated Bihar 35-32, 35-30 in a hard-fought semi-final match in the girls’ category.

Despite this defeat, the girls’ team from Bihar got the third position for a better performance on the basis of points. Captain Vandana, Kajal, Muskaan, Geeta, and Kashish performed brilliantly for Bihar.

In the match played for the seventh position in the boys’ category, Bihar defeated Telangana 35-33, 35-31, and secured the seventh position. Bihar’s captain Vandana Kumari (Vaishali) was awarded the Star Player of India award in the championship for her outstanding performance in the girls’ section of the championship.

The Upcoming Players Award of the championship went to Ashish Kumar Ojha (Siwan), who did very well for Bihar in the boys’ category.

President of Bihar Ball Badminton Association and Bihar Legislative Council Member Prof Nawal Kishore Yadav, Senior Vice-President of the Association and Bihar Industries Minister Samir Kumar Mahaseth , another Vice President of the association and JDU leader Prof Suheli Mehta, Vice President-cum-GST Advocate Mithilesh Kumar Mandal, Dr Gyanendra Singh, Joint Secretary Mitali Mitra, Ranjan Gupta, Pushkar Dev, Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Jan Aushadhi Kendra Proprietor IGIMS Pawan Kumar Kejriwal, Secretary of Patna District Ball Badminton Association Dr Arun Dayal, Coach Rakesh Kumar, and Badal Kumar congratulated the Bihar girls’ team for the achievement.
