Lucknow: As Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath marks the second year of his second term, he remains a hot topic of discussion in the country for his model of governance in Uttar Pradesh, which has transformed the state in the last seven years, changing thereby the very perception about the state as a sleepy, crime-infested state. Today, under CM Yogi’s leadership, the state has made remarkable progress and it is visible in diverse sectors across the state.

With the mission of realizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision, the Chief Minister is not only launching ambitious projects, but also monitoring them regularly to ensure quality of work and the projects’ timely completion. The Chief Minister is also leaving no stone unturned to deliver the benefits of an array of welfare schemes to all the eligible persons. Uttar Pradesh tops in the country among states in the implementation of the Central Govt’s flagship schemes.

It is worth mentioning here the state has attracted significant investments in the recent years with improved law and order scenario coupled with infrastructural development and enhanced road, water and air connectivity.

The Yogi government implemented various Central Government’s schemes for the welfare of farmers, poor, women, workers and elderly. Housing and sanitation projects were implemented with fool-proof planning and complete transparency in the state. The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana has benefitted 11 crore beneficiaries across the country of whom 2 crore 62 lakh are from Uttar Pradesh and to whose accounts, a sum of Rs. 62,998.69 crore has been transferred. Likewise, the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban and Rural) has benefited 3 crore people in the country of which 55.83 lakh reside in UP.

The Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, initiated to provide relief from smoke in the kitchen to women, has benefited 10 crore women across the country and 1.75 crore women in Uttar Pradesh.

Similarly, under the Swachh Bharat Mission, construction of toilets was facilitated in 2.52 crore households in Uttar Pradesh. The Yogi government has also performed very well in the implementation of another ambitious scheme of the central government, the Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana with a total of 8.56 crore accounts opened. Funds under various schemes are transferred to the bank accounts of beneficiaries directly under the scheme.

Likewise, under the Saubhagya Yojana, while 2.86 crore households were connected in the country, Uttar Pradesh alone saw the connection of 1.58 crore households under this scheme. The Yogi government was also successful in connecting 1.09 crore beneficiaries of UP with Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Yojana.

The Pradhan Mantri SVANidhi Yojana, launched to assist street vendors, has also yielded significant results in the state. To date, 18.14 lakh street vendors have benefited from the scheme in Uttar Pradesh. Additionally, the Atal Pension Scheme has demonstrated its effectiveness, with the state government successfully enrolling 75 lakh individuals.

Likewise, the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana has reached out to 54.44 lakh mothers in Uttar Pradesh. Furthermore, under the Swamitva Yojana, while 1.25 crore beneficiaries have been surveyed nationwide, Uttar Pradesh alone has prepared ‘gharaunis’ for 75.78 lakh households.

The efforts of the Yogi government to implement the central government’s schemes on a mission mode have resulted in Uttar Pradesh ranking first in all major welfare schemes across the country. These include Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana, PM SVANidhi Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Atal Pension Yojana.

Additionally, Uttar Pradesh ranks second in the country in the Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana and in the DBT Performance Ranking.
