Patna, July 18: Bihar State Pollution Control Board established a climate change learning lab at Patna Zoo on Sunday to do research and study about the climate change taking place in Bihar. The lab was inaugurated by the Bihar Minister of Environment and Climate Change, Neeraj Kumar Singh. This facility has been established for the first time in Bihar.
This lab will sensitize the general public, especially school children, on various aspects of climate change. The lab has been set up by GIZ, an organization of the European Union and Germany.
Chairman of the Bihar State Pollution Control Board, Dr AK Ghosh said that people’s cooperation is needed to tackle the problem of climate change. Principal secretary Arvind Kumar Choudhary said that it is our endeavor to achieve the target of zero carbon emission in the state by 2040.
