Patna: Bihar Secretariat player Khushbu Rani won a double crown in the All India Civil Services Carrom Championship held at Agartala. Khushbu Rani played a key role in winning the gold medal for the Bihar Secretariat team and she also won the gold medal in the women’s singles event.
Khushbu Rani, who is working in the Water Resources Department of the Government of Bihar, has previously won the gold medal for five consecutive times in the All India Civil Services Carrom Championship, playing on behalf of the Bihar Secretariat.
The Bihar Secretariat women’s team included Gudiya Rani Singh (Water Resources Department), Sandhya Sinha (General Administration Department) and Khushbu Karna (District Magistrate’s Office, Patna) besides Khushbu Rani.
Dr S Siddharth, Additional Chief Secretary cum Vice President of Bihar Secretariat Sports Foundation), Balamurugan D, Secretary, Rural Development Department cum Secretary of Bihar Secretariat Sports Foundation), Chittaranjan Sharma and Treasurer of Bihar Secretariat Sports Foundation, congratulated the women’s carrom team for their splendid performance.
