Patna: In the Sub Junior National Girls Football Tournament Tier-1, currently underway in Malda, West Bengal, Bihar delivered a commanding 5-0 victory over Gujarat in their second match today.
The star of the match was Rinki Kumari Chauhan, who single-handedly scored all five goals for Bihar. The team, competing in Group B, will now prepare for their next match against Karnataka on 6th September.
The match, played at the DSA Ground in Malda, saw Bihar’s players taking the initiative from the outset. Rinki Kumari Chauhan netted the first goal in the 47th minute. She continued her impressive performance in the second half, scoring four more goals in the 65th, 83rd, 85th, and 87th minutes.
With this stellar performance, Rinki Kumari Chauhan has now accumulated a total of 8 goals across two matches, positioning herself as the leading scorer in the tournament.
