Patna: Open selection trials to form the Bihar team for the 43rd Junior National Kho-Kho Championship (Boys and Girls) will take place on November 17, organised by the Kho-Kho Association of Bihar. The championship, hosted by the Uttar Pradesh Kho-Kho Association under the Kho-Kho Federation of India, will be held at Maharani Ahilyabai Stadium in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh, from November 25 to November 29. The trials will be conducted at New Delhi Public School in Raja Bazar, Suryagarha (Lakhisarai), according to Neeraj Kumar Pappu, General Secretary of the Kho-Kho Association of Bihar.
Players from all district units in Bihar, as well as other interested participants, are invited to attend. They must bring an original Aadhaar card with a photocopy, a birth certificate with a photocopy, and two passport-sized photographs. Only players registered with the Kho-Kho Federation of India and aged 17 or younger as of 25 November 2024, with an index of 240, are eligible to participate.
For smooth organisation of the trials, Abhishek Anand, Director of New Delhi Public School, has been appointed Organising Chairman, with all preparations being made under his leadership. Anand assured that all necessary arrangements, including transport from Lakhisarai station to the trial venue, as well as snacks and meals for participants, have been arranged to ensure players’ comfort.
Amit Kumar Singh, Ground In-Charge and Secretary of the Lakhisarai District Kho-Kho Association, said that a court is being set up specifically for the trials, and several distinguished veterans will be honoured during the event.
