Patna: After the completion of the second round of the Bihar State Under-11 Chess Championship which began today at Hotel Diamond Inn, Gola Road, Patna, by Megaminds Chess Club under the aegis of All Bihar State Chess Association, all the seeded players were leading by winning their respective matches. In the boys category, FIDE rated players like Ayush Raj, Suronay Das, Devansh Kesari, Rudra Veer Singh, Yuvan Raman, Aakarsh Anand, Yash Raman and Ishaan were leading with two points after the completion of two rounds.
On the other hand, in the girls category, top seeded Ankita Raj, Mohini Pandit, RC Aatish, Dhanvi Karmakar, Vriti Vaibhav, Anya, Aaradhya Prakash and Vaibhavi Vani were jointly leading with two points.
Earlier, in the inaugural ceremony held this morning, Hotel Diamond Inn’s Managing Director Sanjeet Saurav and All Bihar Chess Association Secretary Dharmendra Kumar inaugurated the tournament by playing chess with the young players. On this occasion, State Bank of India’s Manager Jyoti Sinha, All Bihar Chess Association’s former Secretary Ajit Kumar Singh, Senior Vice President Rajendra Kumar, Vice President Jaiprakash Singh, Joint Secretary Vipul Subhash, Shashi Nand Kumar, Iqbal Alam, Chief arbiter of the competition Nand Kishore, Assistant arbiter Alok Priyadarshi, Senior Chess Players Samir Kumar, Vinay Kumar, Himanshu Kumar, Vijay Kumar and Priyanka Kumari along with many other dignitaries were present.
