Patna: Bihar teams have been announced to participate in the 17th Junior National Soft Tennis Championship to be held in Lucknow from December 9 to 13, according to Dharamveer Kumar, Secretary, Soft Tennis Association of Bihar.
He said that for the selection of the team, a selection trial was organised on Monday (December 5, 2022) at the tennis court of IAS Bhawan, in which 30 players participated. After the trials, 17 players were selected by to represent the state team.
Director General of Bihar State Sports Authority Raveendran Sankaran encouraged the players for winning medals and wished them best of luck.
Team: Boys: Aakrit Kumar (Captain), Junior Kumar, Sanjeev Kumar, Aditya Raj, Nitish Kumar, Tanishk Bhardwaj, Ayush Ranjan, Shekhar Kumar, Ashwini Singh. Coach- Dharamveer Kumar.
Girls: Yogita Raj (Captain), Yeti Raj, Arya Parashar, Madhavi Kriti, Ragini Kumari, Sajia, Suhani Singh, Rhythm Gupta. Coach- Ravi Kumar Mehta. Manager- Prince Kumar.
