Patna: Hyderabad’s Nitin Sai delivered a stellar bowling performance, dismantling the Bihar team in both innings of the multi-day CK Nayudu Trophy match at Moinul Haq Stadium on Monday. Nitin claimed six wickets in the first innings, restricting Bihar to a total of 150 runs. In the follow-on, he once again took six wickets, putting Bihar on the verge of an innings defeat.
Resuming the day at 20 for two, Bihar first innings concluded at 150 runs. Shashank Upadhyay was the top scorer with 46 runs, followed by Pawan Rai with 31, Aditya Kumar with 22, Akash Verma with 14, while Manish Kumar remained not out with 15 runs. For Hyderabad, Nitin Sai took 6 wickets for 54 runs, while Pranav Verma claimed three, and Inliyan took one wicket.
Trailing by 199 runs in the first innings, Bihar was forced to follow on and ended the day at 131 for eight. Opener Akash Verma was dismissed for a duck, while Animesh Kumar scored 42, Arnav Kishore 35, and Suraj Kashyap 26. Shashank Upadhyay remained unbeaten on 16, with Anup not out at one run. Nitin Sai took six wickets in the second innings as well, with Pranav and Ruthik picking up one wicket each.
