Patna: In the final league match of Pool ‘A’ of the 41st Sub-Junior National Ball Badminton Championship being played at Mancherial (Telangana), the Bihar girls team lost to Tamil Nadu 30-35,27-35 but qualified for the quarterfinals.
Giving this information, secretary of Bihar Ball Badminton Association, Gouri Shankar said that in the third match of Pool ‘C’ of boys’ category, Bihar defeated Delhi 35-17, 35-22 but later in the deciding league match, the hosts Telangana defeated Bihar 35-29, 35-31.
With this defeat, Bihar boys bowed out of the championship. In the girls’ category match, Bihar captain Kajal, Deepali, Khushi, Muskaan, Simran performed brilliantly.
