Bihar Cricket Academy inaugurated in Patna

Patna: Former Bihar Cricket Association (BCA) secretary Ajay Narayan Sharma inaugurated the Bihar Cricket Academy at La Martiniere World School, Sampatchak, Patna, on Tuesday. La Martiniere School Director Himanshu Shekhar, Principal Shiv Prakash, Vaishali District Cricket Association Secretary Prakash Singh, BCA GM (Administration) Neeraj Singh, Media Manager Santosh Jha, Dharam Veer Patwardhan, Rohit Sharma, Ranji Cricketer Kumar Mridul, Kumar Rajneesh, Himanshu Hari, Kundan Gupta, Shashi Anand, Pallav, Sudarshan Rishav, Raj Satyam, Abhishek, Sourav, Gaurav Devraj, and women players Arpana, Pooja, and Deepa were present on the occasion.

Ajay Narayan Sharma said that the Bihar Cricket Academy will become a heritage for the cricketers in Bihar. With three turfs, two astro turfs, and three centre wickets, the academy is being fitted with all modern cricketing equipment, including bowling machines. Cricketer Ashutosh Jyoti Singh, the director of the academy, said that talks are in the final stages to bring in national and international cricket coaches, physios, and trainers. The academy will provide residential facilities to more than 100 women and men cricketers.

On the occasion of the inauguration, all the guests were honoured with shawls and bouquets. The vote of thanks was proposed by the director of the school, Himanshu Shekhar. Hundreds of cricketers were also present on the occasion.
