Bihar chalk out impressive win over Nagaland in Men’s U-25 State A Trophy

Patna: Bihar beat Nagaland by 71 runs in the Men’s U-25 State A Trophy one day match at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on Thursday.

Bihar captain Akash Raj who made 63 runs and Suraj Kashyap, who scored 52 not out and took three wickets played key role in Bihar’s victory. Sarman Nigori made 48 and HN Singh scored 40 runs for Bihar.

Bihar won the toss and decided to bat first. Batting first, Bihar scored 243 runs for eight wickets in 50 overs.

In reply, Nagaland were bundled out for 172 runs in 45.4 overs. Touka scored 54, Afzal scored 32 and Arjun scored 46 runs for Nagaland. Suraj Kashyap took three wickets giving away 26 runs off 10 overs. Amod also took three wickets for Bihar.

This was Bihar’s second win in this tournament. Earlier, Bihar had defeated Hyderabad.
