Patna, July 17: Kunal Kumar Singh of Bihar has been selected for the training camp of the Indian youth basketball team to participate in the FIBA Junior Under-18 Asian Championships. The training camp will be held at Shri Jai Prakash Narayan National Youth Training Center, Bangalore, from July 16 to August 20. Kunal is a native of Ara district of Bihar.
He is being trained at Eklavya Training Center in Sasaram. Earlier, he was also selected for the FIBA Youth Under-16 Asian Championship – 2022 but could not participate in the competition due to injury he suffered during the practice match of the Indian team.
Meanwhile, president of Basketball Association of Bihar Ranjit Kumar Singh said that Kunal is a talented player who will bring laurels to the state of Bihar in the times to come. Secretary of the state association Sushil Kumar, organising secretary Vinay Kumar, other officials and coaches congratulated Kunal.
