Patna: Bihar were 126 for three in their first innings at the end of the second day’s play of their Ranji Trophy match against Uttar Pradesh in Meerut on Saturday. The first day’s play was cancelled due to bad weather.
The first session play could not be played on the second day also due to bad weather. After lunch break, Uttar Pradesh won the toss and invited Bihar to bat first. Openers Sarman Nigrodh and Baljeet Bihari, made a partnership of 23 runs, after which Baljeet Bihari was out without opening his account in 24 balls.
Basukinath, who came to bat after Baljeet, scored 15 runs and Babul was out without opening his account. After the fall of three wickets, Sakibul Gani and opener Sarman Nigrodh, who came to bat, took care of Bihar’s innings by making an unbeaten partnership of 78 runs until the end of the second day’s play. Bihar’s score was 126 runs at the loss of three wickets.
