Patna: It rained runs in the match played under Patna District Senior Division Cricket League on Wednesday at Patna’s Urja Stadium. A lot of fours and sixes were hit. Many times the ball went out of the stadium.
First, Piyush Kumar Singh, playing for PESU, scored an inning of 163 runs in 124 balls with the help of 8 fours and 14 sixes and his team scored 275 runs in the stipulated 40 overs.
Chasing the target of 278 runs, two batsmen of YMCC scored centurues and chased the target easily. These two batsmen were Ashish Mishra and Rishabh Rakesh. In this match played at the local Energy Stadium, PESU won the toss and decided to bat first and scored 275 runs for 7 wickets in the stipulated 40 overs. For PESU, Piyush Kumar Singh scored 163, Shashim Rathore scored 47, Babul 19 and Akash scored 15 runs.
On behalf of YMCC, Rishabh Rakesh took 2 wickets for 38 runs, Sanjeet took 2 wickets for 37 runs and Harshvardha Monty took 2 wickets for 52 runs.
