Patna; May 2: BHPCL secured a commanding victory over PAC in the Patna District Senior Division Cricket League, propelled by Yashasvi Shukla’s remarkable double century (214 not out off 119 balls, comprising 29 fours and 8 sixes), coupled with a stellar bowling performance by Parmeshwar Yadav (5 wickets for 23 runs).

The match, BHPCL’s debut in Group A, marked PAC’s final appearance. Out of a total of 6 matches, PAC managed to win only 1, suffering defeats in the remaining 5.

Opting to bat first after winning the toss at the Urja Stadium, PAC invited BHPCL to set the target. BHPCL delivered a formidable performance, amassing 391 runs for the loss of five wickets in 40 overs. Besides Shukla’s heroics, Tusharkant contributed 66 runs from 51 balls, including 10 fours and 1 six, while Hasnain scored a brisk 49 runs off 18 balls, embellished with 2 fours and 6 sixes.

PAC’s bowling efforts saw Ritesh Kumar Nishu, Praveen Kumar Sinha, Prateek Sinha, and Tanmay Srivastava claiming 1 wicket each.

In response, PAC faltered and were bundled out for 150 runs in 34.4 overs. Ritesh Kumar Nishu top-scored with 38 runs, followed by Anurag Kumar with 34, and Abhay Kumar’s unbeaten 21. For BHPCL, Parmeshwar Yadav starred with the ball, scalping 5 wickets for 23 runs, supported by Pankaj Kumar Mishra, Ankesh, Tusharkant, Siddhant Vijay, and Hasnain, each clinching 1 wicket. Yashasvi Shukla was rightfully awarded the Player of the Match.
