Patna: In the 15th Bihar State Junior and Sub Junior Boxing Championship held in Bhagalpur, host Bhagalpur secured first position with 32 points while Sheikhupura stood second with 24 points and Munger (21 points) stood third.
About 200 boys and girls from 21 districts of Bihar participated in this championship. Chief guests at the closing ceremony were Boxing Association of Bihar Secretary Rajeev Kumar Singh and Vijay Kumar Yadav (social workers of Bhagalpur), Gautam Kumar, Vikram Kumar, Santosh Shah (social workers), Bharat Kumar, Bunty Yadav, district sports officer Jai Narayan Kumar and Boxing Association of Bhagalpur secretary Mohammad Farmood Ansari gave away the prizes.
Gold medal winners in Sub Junior Boys Category: Sahil Kumar (Munger), Avinash Kumar (Saran), Adarsh Kumar (Begusarai), Mrityunjay Kumar (Munger), Sahil Kumar Singh (Rohtas), Saurabh Kumar (Bhagalpur), Ravi Sah (Patna) Sheikh Sahil (East Champaran), Ayush Kumar (Nawada), Anshu Raj (Rohtas), Vikram Kumar (Bhojpur), Vinayak Vimal.
