Bhagalpur: In the first quarterfinal match of the Bhagalpur District Cricket League organized by Bhagalpur District Cricket Association at the local Sandys Compound played on Friday, Youth Corner Cricket Club entered the semi-finals by defeating Bhagalpur Cricket Academy by 8 wickets. On behalf of the winning team, Deepak Kumar and Kunal Piyush played brilliant innings of 71 runs each. Kunal Piyush also took 3 wickets.
After winning the toss, the captain of Bhagalpur Cricket Academy decided to bat first. Batting first, Bhagalpur Cricket Academy scored 166 runs losing 7 wickets in 30 overs.
Batting for Bhagalpur Cricket Academy, Akash Kumar scored the most with 75 runs. Deepesh Kumar contributed 35 runs, and Shivam Kumar contributed 14 runs. In bowling for Youth Corner Cricket Club, Kunal Piyush and Sanjay Kumar took three wickets each. Adarsh took three wickets.
