Jhajha (Jamui): Bhagalpur defeated Munger by 42 runs in the sixth match of Randhir Verma Under-19 Cricket Tournament’s Angika Zone match being played at Railway Chandwari Ground, Jhajha, Jamui on Friday.
Batting first, Bhagalpur scored 198 runs losing seven wickets in 50 overs. Krishna contributed 51 runs, Rahul contributed 35 runs and Rakesh contributed 33 runs. For Munger, Rajneesh and Laxman took 3 wickets each. Munger’s team, which came to chase 198 runs, could score only 156 runs in 37.2 overs. Batsman Divanshu contributed 39 runs, Asraf 34 and Arya Deep contributed 25 runs. Rohit, Aarav and Ajay of Bhagalpur took 2 wickets each.
