Ghaziabad/Lucknow: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, on Wednesday, said that prior to 2014, a sense of discontent prevailed among the citizens of the country against the system.
Speaking at a degree distribution program held on the occasion of completion of 25 years of the Krishna Institute of Engineering and Technology in Ghaziabad, Yogi said that big movements were taking place across the nation, and disorder, anarchy and distrust of the government had become the identity of India.
He added that the nation underwent a transformation after Prime Minister Narendra Modi assumed power. “Presently, India is witnessing new heights of development, and its 140 crore citizens hold their leadership in high regard, extending full respect and trust”, he remarked.
The Chief Minister said that Uttar Pradesh stands today as one of the leading states in the country in terms of ease of doing business. Notably, the state’s economy, which was once ranked eighth or tenth, is now in the race to become number one and two. This transformation represents the emergence of a new Uttar Pradesh of new India, he pointed out further.
The Chief Minister noted that there was a time when investors were reluctant to invest in the state, and some who had previously invested were departing. However, in just six and a half years, Uttar Pradesh has garnered investment proposals worth Rs 38 lakh crore through the Global Investors Summit held early this year which is expected to create job opportunities for one crore ten lakh youth across the state, he said.
CM Yogi remarked, “Prior to 2017, the youth of UP were reluctant to identify themselves as residents of Uttar Pradesh. Festivals could not be completed peacefully. Rather than resolving the issues at hand, the government itself had become the problem. Presently, no citizen of UP is facing any identity crisis, even those who are not from the state call themselves from Uttar Pradesh.”
Highlighting the growing importance of drone technology in agriculture and various other fields, the Chief Minister also mentioned the significance of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in aiding various tasks. In light of these advancements, there is a need to introduce new courses.
CM Yogi emphasized that technology is proving its effectiveness across multiple facets of life, including combating corruption. “However, we have to keep in mind that technology should be driven by humans. Man should not become its slave” he asserted.
He stated further, “Program of PM Gati Shakti Mission has been taken forward under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi for infrastructure development in the entire country. On this one platform, we can get all types of NOC.”
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath extended his congratulations to the students and teachers of the institute for the remarkable 25-year journey of KIET. In view of the abundant potential of UP in the pharma sector, the state government is taking proactive measures to establish a Pharma Park, the CM said.
He further said that the government is going to establish a Defence Corridor in Bundelkhand. Presently, remarkable work is going on in different areas across UP. CM Yogi urged the students to engage with various schemes of both the Central and State Governments, encouraging them to contribute to these initiatives.
During the event, CM Yogi visited the science exhibition that was set up by the students and engaged in conversations with some of the students and teachers.
He took the opportunity to learn about the various projects created by the students.
Meanwhile, degrees were conferred upon students from various courses who were graduating in 2022. CM Yogi personally presented degrees to 16 meritorious students who had achieved excellent ranks.
Furthermore, the Chief Minister also expressed his appreciation by bestowing honours upon the institute’s alumni and the dedicated teachers who had devoted more than 20 years of service to the institution.
In the program, Union Minister General VK Singh, Minister of State with Independent Charge of Backward Class Welfare and Disability Empowerment Narendra Kashyap, Rajya Sabha MP Anil Aggarwal, Former Minister Atul Garg, Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University Vice Chancellor JP Pandey, Chairman of KIET Sarish Aggarwal and other dignitaries were present.
