Patna: In the Under-23 Men’s CK Nayudu Trophy match held at GSFC Ground, Baroda, the Baroda team secured a dominant victory over Bihar, defeating them by an innings and 103 runs on Monday. Bihar, who managed scores of 91 in the first innings and 97 in the second, will face Haryana in their next match, starting on 15 November.
Baroda resumed play on the second day at 149 for 4 and were eventually bowled out for 291 in 98.1 overs. Key contributions came from Jadhav Rajveer Singh with a strong 81, Nitya J Pandya scoring 48, and Harsh Desai adding 34. Other contributions included Priyanshu Mouliya (21), P Patidar (30), Keyur Kale (23), and Vaibhav HB (12).
For Bihar, Suraj Kashyap bowled impressively, taking 4 wickets for 75 runs, while Manish Kumar claimed 3 for 97. Mohammad Izhar, Himanshu Tiwari, and Animesh Kumar each took a wicket, conceding 46, 46, and 16 runs, respectively.
In their second innings, Bihar were dismissed for 97 in 28 overs, scoring just 6 more runs than their first innings total. Top scorers included Shashank Upadhyay with 24, Pawan Rai with 19, and Suraj Kashyap with 18. Other players struggled to make an impact, with scores remaining in single digits.
Baroda’s bowling attack was led by Priyanshu Mouliya, who took 5 wickets for just 14 runs. Vaibhav HB claimed 3 for 22, and Aryan Chavda took 2 for 41, sealing Baroda’s comprehensive win over Bihar.
