Aurangabad post 92-run victory over Kaimur

Bhabhua: In the Randhir Verma Under-19 Cricket Tournament organized by Bihar Cricket Association on Friday in Shahabad Zone, Aurangabad defeated Kaimur by a huge margin of 92 runs.

In the match played at the local Jagjivan Stadium, Kaimur won the toss and decided to bowl first. After losing the toss and batting first, Aurangabad team made a huge score of 288 runs losing 9 wickets in the stipulated 50 overs. For Aurangabad, both the openers Ayush Raj scored 81 runs in 81 balls and Harsh Giri scored 66 runs in 60 balls. They put on a partnership of 151 runs for the first wicket. Apart from this, Naveen scored 31 runs in 44 balls, Nitish scored 28 runs in 22 balls and Sonal and Nitish scored 18 runs each.

On behalf of Kaimur, captain Anubhav Singh bowled brilliantly and took 5 wickets for 44 runs, Chintu Gupta took 2 wickets for 59 runs and Anuj took 2 wickets for 47 runs.

While chasing 288 runs, Kaimur team could score only 196 runs after losing all the wickets in 40.2 overs. For Kaimur, Devansh scored 66 runs in 96 balls and Anubhav batted brilliantly and scored 61 runs in 63 balls. Apart from this, Narendra played an inning of 25 runs.

The Player of the Match award was given to Ayush Raj of Aurangabad for his brilliant batting (81 runs).
