Patna: Audit Awareness Week is being celebrated from November 16 to November 24 under the joint auspices of Office of the Principal Accountant General (A&E), Office of the Accountant General (Audit), Office of the Finance & Communication (Audit) and Office of the Director, Audit, Eastern Command.
In this series, on Monday, an Audit Outreach Programme was organised in Muzaffarpur and Jehanabad districts at District Collectorate Conference Hall and Village Plex Bhavan respectively. The event in Muzaffarpur district was organised under the leadership of Deputy Accountant Generals, Pushpalata and K. S. M Rafi, while in Jehanabad district it was led by Deputy Accountant Generals, Adarsh Agarwal and Shiv Shankar along with their respective audit teams. Both events were presided by the respective District Magistrates.
The aim of the event was to spread awareness on the importance of Audit in promoting transparency, accountability and good governance among all the district level functionaries present there. An interactive session was held through a brief presentation and small video clips on accounting and auditing functions of the CAG. The event was appreciated by the participants with enthusiasm and interest.
