Bihar Sharif: Thanks to the brilliant innings of Arnav Kishore (154 not out) and Naman Gaurav (96 not out), host Nalanda defeated Arwal by nine wickets in the BCA Senior Cricket Tournament. Arwal’s Ankush Raj’s inning of 116 runs went in vain.
In the match played in Mohammadpur, Ekangardih of the district, Nalanda won the toss and invited Arwal to bat. Batting first, Arwal scored 279 runs losing 10 wickets in 50 overs. For Arwal, Ankush Raj scored 116 runs, Deepesh Kumar Gupta scored 45 runs, Vivek scored 34 runs and Rahul Kumar scored 22 runs. For Nalanda, Arnav took 3 wickets, Arnav Kishore took 2 wickets, Suman and Harshit took one wicket each.
Playing in reply, Nalanda’s team scored 282 runs in just 31.2 overs, thanks to Arnav Kishore’s unbeaten 154 runs and Naman Gaurav’s unbeaten 96 runs. Nalanda won this match by 9 wickets.
For Nalanda, Arnav Kishore scored unbeaten 154 runs in 103 balls with the help of 14 fours and 12 sixes and Naman Gaurav scored unbeaten 96 runs in 68 balls with the help of 14 fours and 3 sixes. Siddharth Kumar also contributed 13 runs. Sachin took the only wicket from Arwal.
