Araria, Vaishali, Gopalganj, Muzaffarpur Post Victories in BCA Men’s U23 One Day Trophy

Patna: The Bihar Cricket Association (BCA) Men’s U23 One Day Trophy Tournament witnessed a series of exhilarating matches today, with teams from Araria, Vaishali, Gopalganj, Muzaffarpur, Munger, Nawada, and Khagaria emerging victorious in their respective encounters.

1. Kishanganj vs Araria (Vidya Vihar Cricket Ground, Purnia)

Araria won by 7 wickets

Kishanganj, batting first, were bowled out for 76 runs in 30.1 overs. Prashant Kumar Yadav and Shaurya Ganesh Kumar contributed 13 runs each, while Mukesh Likhdev Kumar added 10 runs. Araria’s bowlers dominated, with Aman Sanjay Raj claiming 3 wickets for 13 runs. Aman Naresh and Yashvardhan took 2 wickets each, while Uttam and Adarsh secured 1 wicket apiece.

In response, Araria chased down the target in just 10.1 overs, scoring 80 runs for the loss of 3 wickets. Aman Sanjay Raj starred with a blistering 51 runs off 30 balls, including 7 fours and 1 six, while Krish Pramod Kumar added 13 runs. For Kishanganj, Mohammad Sadiq Anisur Rahman took 2 wickets, and Suryam Rakesh Raj claimed 1 wicket.

2. Vaishali vs Arwal (VDCA Cricket Ground, Bidupur, Patna)

Vaishali won by 93 runs

Vaishali posted a formidable total of 272 runs for 8 wickets in 50 overs. Sambhav Sudarshan Mishra was the standout performer, scoring an unbeaten 116 runs off 151 balls, including 8 fours and 3 sixes. Ashwini Sanjay Kumar (32 runs) and Yakub (29 runs) also made valuable contributions. Arwal’s Anand Prakash took 3 wickets, while captain Dipesh Kumar Gupta claimed 2 wickets.

Arwal, in their chase, were bowled out for 179 runs in 44.4 overs. Shantanu Chandra top-scored with 40 runs, supported by Vikram Babul Chaudhary (31 runs) and Ayush Ravi Shankar (23 runs). Vaishali’s Harsh Rakesh Vardhan was the pick of the bowlers, taking 4 wickets for 30 runs, while Aariz Yakub claimed 3 wickets.

3. Gopalganj vs West Champaran (DL Singh Cricket Ground, Sadisopur, Patna)

Gopalganj won by 137 runs

Gopalganj set a challenging target of 291 runs for 7 wickets in 45 overs. Captain Prashant Kumar led from the front with 95 runs, while Aryan Raj (77 runs) and Aditya Pandey (51 runs) also made significant contributions. West Champaran’s Abhishek Kumar Rai took 4 wickets.

In reply, West Champaran were bowled out for 154 runs in 39.2 overs. Vishwajeet Shailesh Shukla (35 runs) and Ujjwal Manoj Pandey (37 runs) tried to steady the innings, but Gopalganj’s bowlers, including Shubham and Mehndi with 2 wickets each, ensured a comprehensive victory.

4. Muzaffarpur vs Sheohar (Janki Stadium, Sitamarhi)

Muzaffarpur won by 144 runs

Muzaffarpur scored 229 runs before being bowled out in 49.1 overs. Bharat Basant Kumar top-scored with 71 runs, while Rahul Kaushal Kishore (25 runs) and captain Ravi Sukhdev Kumar (24 runs) chipped in. Shivhar’s Shubham D Tiwari took 3 wickets.

Sheohar batting collapsed, managing only 85 runs in 28.3 overs. Kamlesh S Kumar (16 runs) and Raj Kumar Yadav (14 runs) were the top scorers. Muzaffarpur’s Shubham Jitendra Mall was exceptional, taking 5 wickets for 10 runs.

5. Nawada vs Gaya (London Cricket Ground, Nawada)

Nawada won by 29 runs

Nawada posted 279 runs before being bowled out in 48.3 overs. Kumar Gaurav Saurabh smashed 102 runs, supported by Suman Surendra Saurabh (60 runs) and Aman Anil Arya (26 runs). Gaya’s Mukesh Ramdhani Dubey took 4 wickets.

Gaya fought hard but fell short, scoring 250 runs in 46 overs. Osama Khan (80 runs) and Aryan Prem Ranjan (50 runs) were the standout performers. Nawada’s Ansh Shashikant Tiwari and Nishant Saroj Kumar took 3 wickets each to secure the win.

6. Munger vs Lakhisarai (Sandish Compound, Bhagalpur)

Munger won by 9 runs

Munger scored 207 runs before being bowled out in 47.3 overs. Amit Durgesh Kumar top-scored with 70 runs, while Vishal Singh (25 runs) and Akash Kumar Alok (23 runs) contributed. Lakhisarai’s Dhananjay Aman Suraj and captain Ravi Vinod Singh took 2 wickets each.

Lakhisarai were bowled out for 198 runs in 45.2 overs. Neeraj Kumar Sharma (42 runs) and Babul Pradeep Arya (29 runs) tried their best, but Munger’s captain Prashant Kamal Kumar (4 wickets) and Shivam Ashwini Kumar (3 wickets) ensured victory.

7. Khagaria vs Saharsa (HURL Cricket Ground, Bihat, Begusarai)

Khagaria won by 55 runs

Khagaria scored 261 runs before being bowled out in 48.1 overs. Captain Kunal Mithilesh Kumar (58 runs) and Harshit Yugal Anand (38 runs) were the top scorers. Saharsa’s Irfan Mohammad Zakir Ali took 3 wickets.

Saharsa managed 206 runs in 44.3 overs. Captain Sagar Kailash Kumar (42 runs) and Roshan Praveen Kumar Bhagat (29 runs) fought hard, but Khagaria’s bowlers, including Suraj and Prince with 2 wickets each, sealed the win.

The tournament continues with the next match between Begusarai and Khagaria, promising more exciting cricket action.
